William was born on April 14, 1922 in Johnston City, IL, the son of John and Edith Rodden Cusson. He married Leota Kelly in Peoria on April 25, 1944.
He is survived by his wife of seventy- years; his children, Joyce (Glen) Hein of Tolland, CT, Carol (Jeff) Stout of Pekin, and Constance McAvoy of Creve Coeur; ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
William was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters.
He worked at Caterpillar for forty years, including seven years in Glasgow, Scotland.
William was a Navy Veteran serving in the Pacific Theatre in World War II.
He loved to travel with his wife. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 3, 2014 at Resurrection Mausoleum. Father James Pallardy will officiate. Entombment will be at Resurrection Mausoleum.
Memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
