

William Thomas "Bill" Krum, 82, of Dunlap, formerly of Havertown, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Lutheran Hillside Village in Peoria. He was born on December 2, 1942, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a son of William Krum and Anna (McAndrew) Krum. Bill married Mary Ellen Walsh on August 19, 1972, in Philadelphia. She survives.
He is also survived by his daughter, Maggie (Clint) Westemeyer of Dunlap; two grandchildren, Caitlin and Daniel Westemeyer of Dunlap; brother-in-law, Thomas Hudak of Shamong, New Jersey; three nieces, Jeanne Walsh of Cary, North Carolina, Mary Beth Sensabaugh of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Tricia Jones of Medford, New Jersey; one nephew, Thomas Hudak of Charlotte, North Carolina; and several cousins living in the Philadelphia area.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Anthony Walsh; and sister-in-law, Patricia Hudak.
He was a graduate of Drexel University and the Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work.
Bill worked as a social worker for the Mental Health Association of Southeastern Pennsylvania for over 30 years, retiring in 2007. He moved to Dunlap to help care for his grandchildren and enjoy his retirement. Bill enjoyed spending time at the Jersey shore, hiking, traveling, reading good books, and taking classes at Bradley University's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute program. Most of all Bill loved spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends, and laughing about our dogs.
Bill's memorial service will take place at 11:00 am on Monday, July 14, 2025, at the Waters of Life Chapel at Lutheran Hillside Village in Peoria. Chaplain Pat Monroe will officiate. His memorial visitation will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am also on Monday at the chapel.
