Peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Friday, July 23, 2010, after a brief illness in his 74th year. Al, dearly beloved husband of Pat, and dear father of Don (Kathy) and Jeanne (Jim Grobowsky). Loving grandfather of Brendan, Scott, and Matthew. Sadly missed by nieces Susan Draper and Darlene Snyder. After working for New York Life for 31 years, Alan followed his passions for birding, nature photography, model railroading, and travel. Friends may call at the COMMUNITY ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 83 Hunter Street West, Peterborough (at the Bridge) from 12 noon on Wednesday, August 11th for a Celebration of Al's Life to be held in the chapel at 1 p.m. Reception to follow.
