Peacefully on Monday, June 11, 2018, in his 95th year, Allan Russell King passed into the presence of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He was the beloved husband of Ruth (nee:Tatham, formerly Nottage), and the late Mary (nee Finley). Survived by his dear sister Marg, and sisters-in-law Evelyn & Helen. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Maurice (Dorothy, Bernice), Dave, Marion (Earl) Trumble, Lou, and Pauline (Ewart) Tucker. He was predeceased by his son John (surviving wife Laura). Loving father of Marilyn (Rick) Gray, Elaine (Jon) Fisher, Cathy (Gerrit) Van Essen, Rose (Dave) Rosborough, Elizabeth (John) Horlings. Beloved grandfather of 24 and great-grandfather of 40. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” Psalm 116:15 Interment has taken place at Lakefield Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at Lakefield Baptist Church, 36 Regent Street, Lakefield on Monday, June 18. Friends are invited to visit the family from 12:00 noon until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 pm. Reception will follow. Memorial donations to “Friends of Israel” would be appreciated.
