Andrew Goldie

Andrew "Andy" Goldie born August 5, 1935 in Glasgow Scotland passed peacefully on December 5, 2024 at age the age of 89 at Extendicare Peterborough Ontario.

Husband to Mattie Goldie who predeceased him in 2023 after over 63 years of marriage. Survived by his daughters Ann Goldie and Helen La Belle (Troy) loving grandfather to Alex, Ben, and Jack La Belle.

Andy married Mattie in Paisley Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1962 where they made a wonderful life together. Andy worked at GE for 25 years in the nuclear finance department and following that retirement worked for Liftlock Auto Body into his 87th year.

Our dad's passion was for golfing where he was a lifelong member of Kawartha Golf and Country Club and earned the nickname Grandpa Golfer. He loved playing cards with friends and watching sports. Andy celebrated his Scottish heritage over Robbie Burns dinners with friends and cheering on the Rangers F.C.

We all know how much you missed Mattie when she passed away and we take comfort in knowing that you are together again. Your love for us lives on in your daughters and your grandsons, we will never forget you dad. We love you.
