When I first me Chris at a mutual friends’ party, it was pointed out to us that this one was straight and off limits. I thought, she was such an attractive and cute lady.Too bad that she was straight. Well, a few years went by and much to my surprise, Chris and I met up at the TTC where we both worked... Much to my delight, Chrissy started making moves on me...An absolute whirlwind romance ensued. It was full of drama, excitement and adventure. This all came to be in September of 1987 and we started our 36 years of life together. Married in 2004, we were suddenly legit.Chrissy was very talented at making crafts of any kind, quilts, and an amazing seamstress. She was also an avid photographer and we enjoyed many days at the track where I would race and she would take shots. We enjoyed camping together and had many fur babies, including Jake, Jasmine, Oliver' Angus and now the lovely Jade.Chris had a fight in her that is rarely seen. She fought her illness for almost 5.5 years after receiving an initial prognosis of approximately 13 months.I know that a lot of this fighting was to stay with me and Jade and I want to acknowledge that here.Chrissy left this realm on Saturday May 18th, surrounded by those who loved her so very much. I will never forget the care and love you bestowed upon me...I will be forever grateful.... I continue to love you with all of me now and forever, love babes.
A special thank you to Hospice Peterborough who helped to bring back my sanity and give Chris and I what we so desperately needed
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Hospice Peterborough would be appreciated. Online condolences may be made at CommunityAlternative.ca
