Melissa and family, I send my deepest sympathy for the loss of your father/grandfather.

A sad passing for one of the most fun loving of the Murphy Uncles. He will be remembered fondly for his welcoming smile and witty antics. Rest In Peace Uncle Archie.

My husband, Jim, was a colleague of Archie's at Northern College.  Archie, Gay and I were from Cornwall.  Archie spoke of his parents with love and respect and had praise for his large and loving family.  We know he will be missed and we remember our fun, laughter and lots of talk whenever we got together with our neighbours, the Murphys.  Long ago but often remembered.

I always have great memories of Uncle Archie and often share with my kids the crazy antics of the Murphy Family. His laugh was contagious and I remember when I was 13 or 14, I actually borrowed it for a year to try it out to see if it fit. I was especially proud of Uncle Archie when he stood in for my Dad, and walked Colleen (his God-child)down the aisle to her beloved Enzo. 
It always amazed me at how active Aunt Gay & Uncle Archie were. 
I remember their summer trip cycling across Canada. Not sure if they actually did go ACROSS Canada, but from my perspective, they were Olympians. I don't think they ever arrived at the house without a case of beer...amazing! 
He missed Aunt Gay dearly and often confided in my Mom and Peter, seeking solace in their advice, and grappling with his love and how to move forward without his cherished life partner. I feel we always wish things could end on a high note, but life and death are not always like novels.
To my cuz Melissa and family, and to our Aunts and Uncles, we send virtual hugs and squeezes. I presume there is a helluva party going on at some heavenly 19th hole ! Love from Heather, Mike, Kilee and Kit

What a wonderful laugh and kind heart you have Uncle Archie. I believe I hear you whooping it up now with all our loved ones who have passed, no more pain only joy! My sincere condolences Melissa to you and your family. To all my Aunts and Uncles my deepest sympathy at the loss of your brother. Love and hugs to all at this sad time.

Dear Murphy Family,

                                 Let me take this time to say how very sorry I am for your loss.  Archie had a true giving heart and it always shone through when he spoke of all of you to me in our time together.  Archie had a great sense of humour and a nice smile to go along with it.  He loved my dog (Reese), I would often bring Reese with me when I visited. Such a simple pleasure but one that brought him great joy.( even if Archie's hardwood floors would bear his footprints after a trip to his water bowl).
Even today I brought Reese with me to Archie's house and Reese looked for him then laid down right in front of his lazy boy chair.  It goes without saying that Archie will be missed.
