(Longtime member of St. Luke's Anglican Church, Local Television Repair Business Owner, and Otonabee Trailer Club Member) Passed away at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, August 11, 2016 in his 88th year. Beloved husband of 46 years to Diane (nee Pearse)(predeceased). Loving father of Beth Westlake (Marvin) and David Switzer (Catrina). Adored grandfather of Will and Emma Westlake. Brother-in-law to Herb Weirmier, Hazel Switzer, and Margaret Pearse. Perdeceased by his sister Mary Weirmier, brother Harvey Switzer, and brother-in-law Robert Pearse. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call at St. Luke's Anglican Church, 566 Armour Rd. Peterborough on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 10:00am followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00am. Reverend Ruth Adams officiating. Reception following at the church. In memory of Ben, donations to The Canadian Cancer Society, Community Care Peterborough, or The Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
