Betty’s family announces with sorrow, her passing at Centennial Place, Millbrook on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Thomas “Bud” Eakins (1980) and the late John Boustead (2018). Loving mother of Paul (Mabel), Mark, Karen Kane, and Cindy Billings (Steve). Proud grandma of Jacob, Colton, Cory, and Cara; and great-grandma of Zoe, Benjamin, Presley and Ethan. Predeceased by her siblings Fred (survived by Shirley), Belford Fuller (Don), Delmar (Thelma), Gerald Rousseau, Denelta MacInnes (Rod), Roland (Betty), Milla O’Toole (Eddie), Alfred, Shirley Hendren (Elwood), and Beryl White (Garvin). Lovingly remembered by the Boustead family, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Betty will be remembered for her love of shopping and her gift of gab. In her younger years she worked at Dillard’s selling ladies clothing. Betty’s family are deeply grateful for the dedication and care she received from the Mill Pond Staff at Centennial Place.
Betty will be laid to rest at Little Lake Cemetery on Friday, September 25th, at 11:00 am. A Celebration of her Life will follow at the Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre from 12 pm to 2 pm.
