Betty Louise Williams

Betty Louise Williams (née Dunford) ~ Passed away peacefully and surrounded by her loved ones at Hospice Peterborough on Saturday, July 4, 2026 at the age of 92. Betty was the beloved wife of the late Gordon Kenneth Williams. She leaves behind her 2 sons, Ken and Gary; Daughters-in-law Anna and Deana; Grandchildren Adriana, Natalia and Johanne (David Trusz); Great-grandchild Desyn. Dear sister of Cauline Cox (Dale), John Dunford (Linda), and Charles Dunford (Jessee) and Doney Dunford. Betty will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Betty lived a life filled with love, generosity, unwavering strength and a joyful spirit. Born in Peterborough, Betty was one of 11 children and was always there to help any of them who needed her as she did for her two sons. She worked 40 years as a jeweller at Charlotte Jewellers since she was 16. Her deep-routed faith, tireless work ethic, focus on family and newfound youth through her recently born grandchild, Adriana, will be most remembered by those close with her. She loved the theatre and a good laugh. She seemed to always get things done but made endless time to talk with anyone who called on her.

Visitation will be held at Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge St., Peterborough on Thursday, July 9th from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Funeral Service will take place at St. John’s Anglican Church, 99 Brock St., Peterborough on Friday, July 10th at 11:00 am. Interment at Rosemount Memorial Gardens, Peterborough.
