October 21, 1957 – October 30, 2026
Catherine Mae Wells passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on October 30, 2026, at the age of 69, leaving behind a family and countless others who will forever carry her love, kindness, and memory in their hearts.
Catherine was born on October 21, 1957, in Peterborough, Ontario, to Basil and Mae Clements. As the oldest of six children, she grew up alongside her four brothers and sister, building the family bonds that would remain an important part of her life.
Catherine went on to build a family of her own, welcoming her three children: Elizabeth, Christopher, and Nicholas. In time, her family grew even larger as she became a proud grandmother to Nicole, Kristina, Matthew, Mhyia, and Ethan. She was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Hudson and Oaklyn, who brought another generation of love into her family.
Catherine was a truly kind soul. Everyone she met had a way of feeling the warmth, love, and kindness she carried within her. She wore her heart on her sleeve and cared deeply for the people around her. Her heart was full of compassion, and her door was always open to those who needed it.
She was the person you could turn to when life became difficult, whether you needed advice, words of encouragement, a helping hand, or simply a shoulder to cry on. Catherine had a way of making people feel cared for, heard, and loved. She gave what she could, when she could, and never needed a reason to show someone kindness.
She was many things throughout her life: a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. But above all, she was someone who loved deeply and gave that love freely. Her presence made a difference in the lives of those around her, and the kindness she shared will continue to live on through the people she touched.
Catherine was predeceased by her mother, Mae Clements; her father, Basil Clements; and her sister, Carol MacDonald.
She leaves behind her four brothers, Barry (Bev), Brian (Laurie), Warren (Ella), and Paul; her three children, Elizabeth Wells (Mike), Christopher Wells, and Nicholas Wells; her five grandchildren, Nicole, Kristina, Matthew, Mhyia, and Ethan; and her two great-grandchildren, Hudson and Oaklyn. She also leaves behind eight nieces and nephews, along with many cousins and dear friends.
Though her time with us has come to an end, the love Catherine gave so freely will never leave us. She will be remembered in the kindness she taught, the lives she touched, the family she loved, and the memories that will forever remain.
She was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
