LEWIS, Crystal Lee (née Case) ~ After a long and valiant battle with cancer, Crystal passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and love at Hospice Peterborough on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at the age of 47. Loving wife of Barry Jr. Lewis. Mama Warrior to Hope (Trey), Braiden and Jessie. Proud grandma of Peyton. Beloved daughter of Dar Laplante and the late Lorne Case. Dear sister of Shannon (Byron), Skyla, Lacey and sister-in-law to Paula. Predeceased by her grandparents Lee and Ruth Laplante and Grandma Mills. She will also be missed by her fur-baby Jaxon, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Crystal was the definition of wearing your heart on your sleeve and staying young at heart. She loved to live life in colour – whether through her hair colour, bright tattoos or her collection of clowns. Crystal had a big heart and brought warmth and tenderness to any room she entered. She loved being with her family, enjoying the outdoors, camping and going for long drives. Her loss is felt deeply by all who knew and loved her. A special thank you to the staff of Hospice Peterborough. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 21st at 1:00 p.m. with visitation from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge St., Peterborough. Private family inurnment, at a later date, at Highland Park Cemetery. In Crystal’s memory, a donation to Hospice Peterborough or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
