Daniel William Sutherland

SUTHERLAND, Daniel William “Dan” or “Sudsy” – After a courageous battle with cancer, with his family at his side, on Friday January 11, 2019 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. Dan of Peterborough, at 61 years of age. Beloved husband of Sara (Remus). Father of Shannon. Brother of Catherine Legault (Graham Wilkins), predeceased by brother-in-law Ron Legault. Loving uncle of Jay and Ryan Legault and Great Uncle of five. Son of Eleanor Sutherland (Mike Craig) and the late Daniel Sutherland. Grandson of the late Bill and Molly Jessup. Dear Son-in-Law of Darlene and Mallory Remus. Dan will be remembered by many other relatives and friends.

Quite well known for his dog training skill, Dan loved animals. He liked to stay fit, cheered for the Toronto Maple Leafs and enjoyed working in the garden. He also loved spending time socializing with his many good friends and playing pool. Dan was a faithful member of Christian Victory Church.

Visiting will be held at the ASHBURNHAM FUNERAL HOME & RECEPTION CENTRE, 840 Armour Road, Peterborough, on Monday, January 14 from 6-9 pm and on Tuesday, January 15 from 10-11 am. Funeral service to be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 11 am. Cremation to follow. Reverend Mark Murack officiating.
