It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Barringer on August 13th, 2022 at
Spencer House in Orillia in his 96th year.
Don was the beloved husband of Beverley (predeceased). His first wife and the mother of his
children was Doris (Carveth)(predeceased). He was much loved by his children Randy (Carmela)
and Debbie (Don). Grandfather to Joshua, Brady, Brett and Alexandra.
Don’s parents were Alice and Charles of Peterborough. He was a brother to the late Doug, Len,
Larry and Shirley.
Don was a skilled mechanic who owned his own garage in Peterborough for many years before
moving to Toronto and then on to Winnipeg. He even worked on the Alaskan pipeline.
Visitation will be held at the Ashburnham Funeral Home, 840 Armour Road in Peterborough on Sunday, September 11th at 1:00 pm followed by a service at 2:00 pm. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made to the Peterborough SPCA.
