Donna Marie Lewington (nee McGuire) passed away peacefully at the age of 84 at Hospice Peterborough on August 23/2026 after a courageous battle with cancer. Never once did she have a complaint but always stated with a fierce” they won’t get rid of me yet” attitude. Born and raised in the Peterborough, and surrounding areas (Bridgenorth), she then met the love of her life Jack Lewington who she was married (for 64 yrs) and started their family together. Sadly, Jack passed away suddenly Jan 1 st of this year. They moved to Ennismore where they lived until their final days. Donna was a true “tea granny” and was always up for a cup of tea and a gab. She loved her job at guardian drugs in Bridgenorth before retiring and seeing her co-workers and the locals. She loved her bingo, cooking/baking (Woolworths baker back in the day) and other crafting/hobbies as well as many family pets over the years. She loved her neighbors and always said you couldn’t ask for anything better than that creating lifelong friendships. Donna is survived by her children Kevin (Deb) Wayne and Cindy (Mike). Along with their grandchildren Robert, Zoe & Mya. And many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents John & Lois McGuire, her brother Bill and granddaughter Amanda Lewington. Many thanks to all who helped look after our beloved mom during this difficult year. We are truly grateful. If desired, donations to our local hospice in Peterborough would be appreciated by family. RIP mom, you will forever be in our hearts and missed immensely.
