Dorothy Sandra Moore Cunningham

She will be remembered by her daughters: Heather Conboy, & Patricia Macaulay; her grandchildren: Cassondra, Bradley, Kenneth, Robert, & Tennisha; great grandchildren: Gabriella & Bryan.

Step-daughters: Linda McDow & Cheryl Phoenix, step grandchildren: Robert, Wendy & Kimberly. Her nephew Richard Hennessy, close friends: Grey & Janie; as well as other numerous friends.

Sandra was predeceased by her husband Robert Cunningham, & first husband Bruce Conboy, her daughter Sharon Riddell, her sister Maureen Hennessy, & her parents Jacqueline Moore (nee Webb) & David Moore.

As per Sandra's wishes she was cremated & a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart & Stroke Foundation or Samaritan's Purse.

Sandra had a long full life. She was a homemaker while she raised her 3 daughters, enjoying baking, canning fruits & vegetables she grew herself, knitting & reading. Our home was always open & she had the gift of hospitality. She had a beautiful operatic voice & was a soloist at church. O Holy night was one of our favorites. She sang this flawlessly even when Sharon would make faces at the back of the church trying to make her laugh.

She became a Registered Nurse, fulfilling one of her dreams. She especially loved working with the elderly. In her second marriage & during retirement she loved to travel. Mexico, where her own mother lived for many years was a favorite place. Being a grandmother brought her much joy. Although distance separated her from some of her grandchildren, the summers she spent with Cassie were a highlight.

Her last 9 years were spent at St. Joseph's @ Fleming long term care home. She was happy to spend some of those years with her mom, Jacqueline, until she passed.

It brings us comfort to know she is now at peace, resting in the arms of Jesus. No pain, no tears, no broken body or mind. We love you & miss you.

Your last words from a testament you wrote in 2014 were: "I love you all, see you in heaven!" Yes mom, we'll see you in heaven!
