Sending my deepest condolences. Ms Carroll was a wonderful and patient lady. She was my kindergarten teacher at Confed many moons ago and later moved into the Kawartha Heights neighbourhood that I had moved to years prior, and we were able to reconnect. She touched many, many lives in the students she taught and the people that were blessed enough to have crossed paths with her in whatever form. May she RIP and continue to teach and share her generosity amongst the angels.

It was my privilege to substitute for Eleanor in 1974 as a long term occasional teacher when she was having some health problems during the last three months of the year. The children in her classroom were obviously well loved by Eleanor. She also helped me to adjust to the Peterborough County Board of Education and its practices since I was new to the board. She was always helpful and a real joy to know in the short time that we worked together in 1974. I always regarded her as a role model in relating to children and their parents in this critical stage of their development and their adjustment to the school system.

It was an honour to have been associated with such an icon in teaching.

The Carroll's were neighbors of my family on Wolfe St. many years ago. I have many fond memories of Eleanor, who was always so very kind and generous. She was a beautiful seamstress and my sister Cathy had the prettiest, fanciest dresses anywhere. We would sometimes have tea with Eleanor and her Mother and Dad, always in fancy tea cups and always a special treat. Our lives are enriched by having known Eleanor as a friend and mentor.
My sincere condolences to Eleanor's family and friends.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Blessings, Cheryl Nice. (Surrey, BC)

So many happy memories of times enjoyed together as lifetime friends of Eleanor, at family picnics, BBQs, birthdays etc., and especially as fellow members of the All Saints' Dramatic Club, a really fun group! Eleanor was an exceptionally talented stage manager and set designer, a perfectionist with a great eye for detail.
She was a wonderful kindergarten teacher both in the classroom and outside of school hours, our children are among the many hundreds of Peterborough children fortunate enough to benefit from her teaching and guidance.
We feel blessed to have known and been friends with Eleanor and her family.
Rest in peace Eleanor, we will miss you.
Our condolences to Ruth, Jack and Family.

Barbara and Gerald Cantello, and family.

Miss Carroll taught me in Kindergarten in 1951/1952. Where have all those years gone? I played hooky once during my school years - when I was in Kindergarten. I actually knew Eleanor better from All Saints Church over the years. Rest in Peace, Miss Carroll.
