She was many things, a singer, gardener, animal lover, wife, great-grandmother, nana but most importantly to her, a mother. Predeceased by her husband Stanley and son David, she will be missed by her son Neil, daughter Hilary (Michael Rice), granddaughters Gillian (Patrick Austin), Krista (Braeden Rangno), Courtney (Randy Packer), Danielle (Andrew Bower) and great grandchildren Clara and Oliver Austin, as well as the latest in a long line of feline friends, Tibby. Born in England in 1925 Elizabeth moved to Peterborough, Ontario in 1957. A member of Murray Street Baptist Church and part of the church choir for 60 years, Elizabeth moved to Island Park Retirement home in Campbellford to be nearer her son Neil and daughter Hilary. Many thanks to the staff at Island Park and the Campbellford Memorial Hospital for their support and care of Elizabeth. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday October 28, 2019 at Murray Street Baptist Church, 175 Murray St, Peterborough, Ontario K9H 2S7. Visitation will begin at 12 noon and the service at 1 pm, followed by a tea.
