PEAT, Elizabeth T – Passed away at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 in her 91st year. Elizabeth was born December 5, 1928 in Toronto, ON, to the late Robert & Elizabeth Peat. Mother of Lizbeth Sanderson and Paul Sanderson (Cherri). Gran-E of Scarlet Sanderson-Byers (Adam Quesnel), Anastasia Sanderson-Byers, Rose Sanderson and Jill Sanderson. Great grandmother of Sophia and Greyson Quesnel.
Sister of the late Marguerite MacLeod (late Dan) and Bruce Peat (surviving wife Dorothy). She will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.
According to her wishes, Elizabeth will be buried at Cobourg Union Cemetery, which is the only space in Ontario designated for green burials. Since reading was her first love, a celebration of life will take place at the library in Westwood, Ontario at a later date.
