Evelyn is lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews: Regg (Brenda), Diane (Bill, predeceased), Gail (Ralph), and Darren, along with many great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family members who will cherish her memory.
She was predeceased by her beloved parents, mother Florence and father Arthur; her brothers, Cliff (Jean), Ken (Elenore), and Leonard (Stella); and her sister, Pauline (Murray).
Evelyn Yvonne Jennings, born on July 24, 1929, in Timmins, Ontario, was a devoted churchgoer whose faith guided her throughout her years. She had a lifelong love for reading and found great comfort and companionship in her many cats, who brought her much joy.

Evelyn will be remembered for her gentle spirit, kind heart, and the simple pleasures she embraced. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will take place on Monday February 16 2026 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm at the Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, located at 356 Rubidge St, Peterborough, ON K9H 4C7.
Funeral service will take place on Tuesday February 17 2026 at 10:30am at the St. James Anglican Church, located at 945 Frank Hill Rd, Kawartha Lakes, ON K0L 2W0.
Interment will take place following the Funeral service at Parklawn Cemetery located at 2845 Bloor St W, Etobicoke, ON M8X 1A6
In lieu of flowers, the family are kindly asking for donations to the Peterborough SPCA, Ontario Veterinary College or Lakefield Animal Welfare Society.
