Fred passed away peacefully, with family at his side on January 25, 2025 at the age of 68. Beloved husband of Sheila McConnell (née Blair). Loving father of Laura Patience (Berris), Amber Cooper (Quinn), Quinn, Shannon (Melissa), Candice Brown (Mark), Zach (Grace), Matt, Mike (Jessica), John (Raven), Doug, Isaehah and Ana; and honoured caretaker of many other children. Proud grandpa of Samuel, Jadzia, Grace, Adilyn, Eliana, Brinley, Ariella, Austin, Ataliah, Idony, Cyrus, Oziah, Naveah, Aurora, Savannah, Aleah, Alexis, Lincoln, and Amari. Dear brother of Barb Powell (late Don), LaVerne McConnell (Marilynne), Dale McConnell (Darlene), Earl McConnell (Terry), and predeceased by his siblings Dean, Max, Earla and Wayne. Predeceased by his parents Richard and Berteel McConnell. Lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A kind-hearted man, Fred put in the time and effort to listen and help others when he could. Fred loved Jesus, and every person he met.
The family will receive friends at Living Hope Church, 1 Consumers Place, Peterborough on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at 4 pm for a Celebration of Fred’s Life.
