

Peacefully at Centennial Place, Millbrook on Saturday, March 01, 2014 in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Rev. Donald Scott Dinnick (October 12, 1981) of the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churchs of Canada. Devoted mother of John Victor Dinnick and his wife Janet (nee Henkleman) of Millbrook. Grandmother of Kevin (Kim) of Peterborough, Christopher, Lauren and Nathan Dinnick all of Millbrook; great-grandmother of Isaiah, Isabella and the late Elijah (September 2009). Only sister of Rev. Victor Wood of Bracebridge and Donald Mitchell of Peterborough. Gladys was an aunt to Laurence Robert Wood (Michelle: nee Close) of Washago. Gladys was predeceased by her parents Eldred Lawrence and his wife Emily (nee Geer) and her sister-in-law Florence Wood (nee Fry). She trained as a Salvation Army Officer - Hold Fast Session 1940 and served in Orangeville, Byng Avenue (Scarborough) and Woodbine (Toronto) Corps. She was a devoted Baptist pastor’s wife, and avid seamstress, quilter and knitter. Visitation will take place from 7-9 pm on Monday and 10 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at FERNDALE BIBLE CHURCH, 25 Ferndale Avenue, Peterborough. Interment will take place at Erskine Cemetery, Pickering. Arrangements entrusted to COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough.
