At Peterborough Regional Health Centre on March 28, 2016, in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Ruth Marilyn Tamblin. Dear father of Chris Blodgett and his wife Cheryl of Cobourg, Gail Anderson and her husband Bruce of Belleville, Anne Gravelle and her husband Andre of Caledonia, Beverley Blodgett of Peterborough, Art Blodgett and his wife Tracey of Peterborough and David Blodgett (Deborah Kimball) of Kitchener. Loving grandfather of Adam, Linda, Ian, Kelly, Erin, Russell, Nora, Samantha, William, Meaghan, Jaymi and Jake. Great grandfather of 6 great grandchildren. Brother of Norm and his wife Doreen, Jean Meiklejohn (late husband Andy), Mary Stillman and her husband Jim. Predeceased by his brothers Ron and John and his sister Barb VanLeuwan (late husband Tony). Survived by sisters-in-law Molly and Barbara. Special Friend of Laura Powell.Visitation will be held at the Comstock Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 356 Rubidge Street on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 2:00 p.m.– 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, 566 Armour Road on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. Interment St. Mark’s Cemetery, Otonabee. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario, the Kidney Foundation or St. Luke’s Anglican Church would be appreciated by the family.
