Gordon James Gibb

GIBB, Gordon James (mechanic, boat builder, restorative expert).

At Peterborough Regional Health Center in Peterborough, Ontario following a courageous but private battle with cancer, on Sunday, August 12th 2018 in his 86th year. Loving father to Gordon Randall (Sherrie), Linda Ann Miller (Glenn), Bill and Dan. Cherished grandfather to Jason, Kenn (Kate), Ashleigh (Brandon) and Braeden. Great-grandfather to Hayden and Addison. Survived by his older brother Jack Gibb (Jean), and nephew John Gibb. Predeceased by cherished life partners Sherry Scarberry and Noreen (Sandison), father William Gibb of Glasgow, Scotland and mother Alice (Wardle) of Lancashire, and his beloved Aunt Netty.

Gordon was no-nonsense and no-frills who could build, fix and restore anything – a gift he willingly shared with others. Task-oriented, to Gordon there was no better and more meaningful compliment, than “a job well done.”

According to Gordon’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, September 23rd at 2pm at Celebrations, 35 Lindsay Street North, corner of Lindsay and Queen Streets, Lindsay Ontario.

Interment will take place at a later date privately, with the family.
