Gregory Brent Packer

Born on June 5th, 1957 in Peterborough, ON, Greg was predeceased by his parents Doris Packer (née Toms) and Bill Packer, and by his brothers Donald and Richard Packer. Greg is survived by his brother Phillip Packer (Shelley).

Greg was the beloved husband of Judy Hewett for 35 years. He was a loving father to Angela Packer and Brent Packer (Becky) and stepfather to Lesley Taylor (Mike) and Krista Giurici (Sasha). “Grampa Goose” will be missed by his grandchildren Logan Daignault, Maddie Taylor, Ayden Taylor, Dylan Giurici and Jordan Giurici.

After 13 years of service with General Motors in Oshawa, Greg found his calling as a financial planner at Assante Wealth Management where he happily supported his clients for over 35 years. Greg was an avid coin collector and long-time member of the Peterborough Coin Club. He will be remembered for his friendly nature and endearing sense of humour and will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.

Greg and his family wish to express their thanks to the PRHC Palliative Care Team and all of his dedicated home care providers for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so may make a donation to the Palliative Care Unit at PRHC.
