Passed away peacefully with his family by his side in his 91st year on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Rubidge Retirement Residence. Beloved husband and bestfriend for 67 years to Mary Wheeler (nee-Samis). Dear father of Diane and husband Leo McMahon, Shirley and husband Bill Eggleton and Kathy and husband Don Moore. Cherished and lovingly remembered grandfather “Gume” of Darryl(Mary-Ellen), Darren(Carolina), Deedra(Kevin), Shannon(Shawn), Kimberley, Crysta(Cory), Tom(Sara), Adam, great grandfather of 15 and great-great grandfather to 1. Dear brother of Jessie Sobko(John), Bill Wheeler(late Joan) and the late Ken Wheeler (Mae). Predeceased by his parents Leonard and Elizabeth “Bessie” Wheeler (nee-Richmond). Harold will be fondly remembered by many wonderful relatives and friends and best friend pet Rosie. Visitation to be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. at COMSTOCK-KAYE LIFE CELEBRATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street, with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel.
