It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Helen Margaret Carlile Morton (nee Smith) at home on September 5, 2014 after a brief illness, with her family at her side. Margaret was the adored and devoted wife of Dr. Eric Morton for 62 years. In addition to Eric, she is survived by her loving children Graham (Debbie), Carol and David (Heather) and grandchildren Ashley (Dan) Ugricic, Cameron (Kyra), Christopher, and Alexander Morton. Margaret was predeceased by her parents and siblings; and Graham’s first wife Susan. A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Margaret will take place on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Canterbury Gardens, 1414 Sherbrooke Street, Peterborough at 2 p.m. Inurnment to follow at Rosemount Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Art Gallery of Peterborough, the World Wildlife Fund, the charity of your choice, would be appreciated by the family. We thank the nursing staff and support teams at Canterbury Gardens for the excellent care and support of our entire family during the final chapter of Mum’s story.
