Mom was born Henderica de Vries on May 13, 1927 in Franeker, Friesland, The Netherlands. She joined the Dutch Navy in 1946 and was stationed in Indonesia; there she met Fritz Weyrich and they were married december 1949. They moved back to Holland and in June 1959 emigrated to Montreal, Quebec. In 1970 they moved to New York state, then South Carolina and lastly, Oklahoma. In 1989 they moved to Elliot Lake.
Fritz passed in 2002 and in 2003 she married Gerald Burton. After a year in Thunder Bay they moved to Victoria BC where Gerald passed away in 2017. Mom then moved in with her daughter until her passing.
Mom had 6 children: Marjanke, Rudi (deceased), Harald, Ingemar, Dwayne and Pamela (deceased). Her grandchildren are Tanya, Trevor, Tristan, Phillip, Matthew, Carin, Kristen, Davin, Raquel, Tabitha, Bertram, Rayford and Katherine. She also had 9 Great Grandchildren.
She loved to knit, cross-stitch and travel, especially cruising.
