James Flurence Driscoll

DRISCOLL, James Flurence “Jim” – Passed away peacefully, with his family at his side, on Monday, October 28, 2019 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, at 85 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Teresa “Betty” (Condon) and the late Theresa McAvoy (nee Cannon). Loving father of Glenda (Eric) Perrin, Jerry Driscoll (Michelle McCormack), Ken Driscoll, Deborah Phelan, Marlene (late Steve) Millar, and Kevin (Tammy) Driscoll. Loving Step-father of Tim (Lesley) McAvoy, and Chris McAvoy. Dear “Grandpa Jim” of Kellie (James), Ryan (Jessica), Kyle (Lindsey), Marissa (Brandon), Corey, Jennifer (Gleb), Lauren (Jon), Pauline, Luke, Brooke, Laura and Ben. Proud “Great-Grandpa Jim” of Noah, Leila, Denver, and Caleb. Brother of Charlie (Nell), Doreen Woodgate (late Ken), Jerry (late Delores), and the late Pauline (late Paul Kylie). Much loved brother-in-law of Bernadette Condon, Barbara (Larry) Longo,Yvonne Leahy, Mary (Bob)Kelly, Marylin (Bruce) McArthur, Lorraine (Carl) Leddy, Pat (late Ernie) Laton, and Jack (Cathy) Cannon.. Jim will be remembered by many other relatives and friends.

Retired from Outboard Marine. Jim will be remembered for his softball playing days and pitching for Seabrooke Motors at East City Bowl. On a perfect day, Jim would be found at the Lake, surrounded by his family, fishing, swimming, relaxing and enjoying a cold one.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Peter-in-Chains Church, 411 Reid St., Peterborough, on Thursday, October 31, at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Ashburnham Funeral Home, 840 Armour Road, in the Legacy Room from 12:30-2:30 pm.
