March 8, 1939- October 7th, 2025
My Dad, survived by his wife of 63 years Louise Dunne, his only daughter Andrea, her husband Tim and his grandchildren Abigail and Mason. His brothers, sisters in law, brother in law many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Dad originally from Sault Ste Marie an avid outdoorsman, came here in 1956 to play with Peterborough TPT Petes. He was with the team for the first two years. He met my mother after a game one night and never returned to the Sault. Dad raised his family here in Peterborough. He worked at Outboard Marine until it closed, he was very active in Antiques and collectables always buying and selling through the years. Dad was very talented at refinishing furniture and loved his side business. After Outboard closed Dad went to work at Peterborough Victoria Northumberland Clarington Catholic district school board where he worked as a custodian until his retirement. But retirement didn’t slow him down because he still had antiques, and his grandkids who he was always available for, being the best Grampa ever! On call for whatever and whenever needed. I cherish early morning garage sale memories and the talks we had, always more than a Dad, a best friend and confidant, oh the stories we told. I will miss you my Dad, until we meet again. Love you.
