

PROMOTED to GLORY
Peacefully, surrounded by her family on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at St. Joseph’s at Fleming, aged 88 years. Devoted and loving wife of Roy for 67 years. Retiree of C.I.B.C. (Branch Secretary) Monaghan and Lansdowne Street Branch, Peterborough (1972-1996). Daughter of the late Ann and George Davis and one of seven siblings, all of England. Loving and wonderful mother of Russell (Kim) and Hazel (Dan). Much loved Nan of Andrew, Matthew (Erika), Jennifer (Gilles), Ashley and Cody, also of great grandson Rhiver. Jean was evacuated at age six out of London to the countryside of England at the start of the war in September 1939, returning home in 1945. Following her schooling she studied further to work in a lawyer’s office as a solicitor’s clerk. Jean emigrated with her husband and two children from England to Peterborough in 1968. Jean will be remembered for her Christian living.
A celebration of life service will be held at The Salvation Army Temple, Aylmer at Simcoe Street on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. with visitation from 1:30 p.m. – 2:25 p.m. Funeral Service will be available on livestream (go to www.comstockkaye.com, select Jean’s information, scroll to services, select Livestream). Interment of urn to take place Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 12:00 noon at Highland Park Cemetery, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough.
