Born May 24, 1962, passed suddenly Sunday, September 8, 2024 at the age of 62.
Predeceased by his parents, Roelof (Rudy) Klompmaker (1973) and Jantien (Joan) Aardema (nee Stoter) (2008). Survived by his loving siblings, Gerard (Tracy) Klompmaker, Joanne (Mike) Foote, and Edward (Tricia) Klompmaker. Cherished by his step-father Ben (Hettie) Aardema. Proud uncle to Matthew (Ceilidh), Brooke, Logan, Breanna, Devon (Marissa), Rudy (Charlotte), Patricia, and Anthony. John will be dearly missed by his many aunts, uncles and cousins. Our mom’s love for John brought him to be the man he became, a good, kind and gentle soul and she had a very special place in his heart. Her decisions to provide him independent living through Christian Horizons carried through to the end with their many years of care, going above and beyond. He was content with his simple life. We thank them for their many years of care. We’d also like to acknowledge Gerard and Tracy for their time, love and care they gave John since our moms passing to ensure that John’s independence continued. John loved his family wholeheartedly and just enjoyed being around them. His presence will be dearly missed.
As per the family’s wishes, John will be cremated and a private interment will take place at the Stirling Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to KARIS Disability Services.
