Passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the age of 70.
Beloved husband of Donna (née Palmer) for over 50 years.

Proud Grandpa of Kayla, Danielle, Alex, Isabella, Josiah, Benjamin, Kaian, Lily, Grayson, Maverick and Ava and great-grandpa of Evelyn.
Dear brother of Anne Stockdale (the late Bill), the late Sylvia Emmorey (Bill), the late Bob Ridley, the late Linda Kellar, and the late Kathy Richardson.
Brother-in-law of Robert Palmer (Lynda), Marilyn Palmer (Brad), David Palmer (Carrie) and the late Kelvin Palmer (Arlene).
Son of the late Walter Ridley and Rose Croft.
John will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and all who knew him. In keeping with John’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of John’s Life will be held at the Peterborough Lion’s Community Centre, 347 Burnham St, Peterborough on Sunday, February 22, 2026 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
