John Victor Sisson

December 15, 1957 - June 27, 2025

John Victor Sisson, aged 67, was born in Toronto and passed away peacefully at Peterborough Hospice on June 27, 2025. A devoted father to his two children, Emma and Noah. John lived a life defined by kindness, selflessness, and unwavering strength.

He was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Barry. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved children, Emma and Noah; siblings Peter (Sue), David (Esther), Jennifer (Geoff), and Becky. He will also be remembered by extended family and friends who admired his resilient spirit, positivity, and generous heart.

He earned his B.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto in 1981 and spent much of his career as a Mechanical Engineer at Honeywell. Known for his wisdom, courage, and humor, John was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

John had a deep love for the outdoors and he carried joy and warmth wherever he went. His beautiful heart and quick wit made every moment richer for those around him.

A man of great courage, compassion, and character, John's legacy lives on in the laughter, love, and lives of those he touched.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday August 24, 2025 at Ashburnham Funeral Home, 840 Armour Road Peterborough from 10-11am. A Celebration of John’s life will follow at 11am.
