ELLIS, Joseph (Joe) Bruce - December 27th, 1941 - March 25th, 2016. (Retired Employee of Peterborough Glass & Windows Ltd.). It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Joe, peacefully with his wife by his side at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Friday, March 25th, 2016 in his 75th year. Cherished, best friend and husband to Claudette and loving father to Michael. Joe is predeceased by his parents, George & Mildred (Innes), his brothers, Frank & Robert, and brother-in-law, Bernie Allen. Dear brother of Joan Allen, Doris & Richard Rosborough, George & Ellen Ellis, Herb & Gail Ellis, Connie & Paul Lehoux, Sharon Ellis, Carol & Peter Dobrensky. Special friend to Bill & Barb Collins. Sadly missed by his faithful companion, his dog Velcro. Joe will be greatly missed by his extended family, Kate McCrae, Barry, Judd & Sue Smoke, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. The things that we will remember the most about Joe, are his kindness, friendliness, and generosity, which he showed to everyone he dealt with every day, every time. The capacity for kindness and goodness characterize his unforgettable nature. You leave behind a lot of people who will truly miss you, but just know, we only wish we had more time with you. Friends are invited to attend Joe's Celebration of Life being held Ashburnham Funeral Home, 840 Armour Rd. (north of Parkhill), Peterborough, on Friday, April 1st, 2016, Visitation from 1-3 PM. Service will begin at 3PM. A reception celebrating Joe's Life, will immediately follow the service at the TankHouse Pub & Restaurant, 295 George St. N. Peterborough.
