SUURD, Julian Henry - It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Julian on April 29, 2015 in his 65th year at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. He was surrounded by his family and friends in his final days which brought great comfort and joy. Julian was the beloved husband of Hilda (nee Jongsma) for 45 years. Proud father of Rhonda (Dave Roy), Cindy (Tim Ralph), Kevin (Amanda) and Whitney. Adored grandfather to Ryan, Lauren, Kevin, Chase, Samuel, Hayden and Blakely. Cherished brother of Mary (John); son-in-law of Ena and brother-in-law of Melle (Wanda), Henk (Donna), Edward (Lynne) and Margaret (Jim). Julian was extremely hard-working and a visionary in his field who saw his customers as family. He cared deeply for his wife, children, grandchildren and many friends. Julian will be missed by all. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at the Comstock Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 356 Rubidge Street. Funeral Service will be held at Calvary Pentecostal Church, 1421 Lansdowne Street West on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Directly following the service all are invited to a reception followed by burial at Rosemount Memorial Gardens. If so desired, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Blood Services or Bethany United Church.
