Heffernan, Lawrence Gerard - (Long-time employee of Savage Arms) We are crushed to share the passing of Lawrence, our brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend. Lawrence passed away suddenly on October 25th, 2025 at the age of 60. He was a loving son who never strayed from the farm. In their later years, he became a patient caregiver to his parents Gerard and Anne (Moloney) who predeceased him in 2013 and 2024. His memory will forever be cherished by his brother Frank (Lori) as well as his two nieces, Hayleigh and Faith, who he adored and always spoke of fondly.
Proud to say he was from Douro, Lawrence boasted of his Irish Heritage and followed in his mother’s footsteps, keeping tabs on the Heffernan and Moloney roots. He was a historian through and through, often with his nose in a book or watching a historical movie. Lawrence’s connections spanned the generations in his community, and he could be found talking and joking comfortably with all. As a member of the Knights of Columbus (Douro) he could be found participating in many events, enjoying himself and making sure others were too.
It is difficult to convey how Lawrence’s absence will impact his family, many friends and neighbours. When we remember Lawrence we will remember his infectious laugh, love of classic rock, the LGH bar, and his appreciation for the farm, his community and family.
