

(Retired president after 45 years of the Outboard Marine Corporation of Canada ) – At the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Palliative Care on Sunday May 15th in his 87th year. Loving husband of 65 years to Laura May Morley. Dear father of Jim and his wife Cheryl and Deb and her husband Mike O’Dette all of Peterborough. Predeceased by his three sons William, John and Douglas. Proud Pop of 14 grandchildren and Great Pop of 9. Brother of Doreen Landry of Peterborough. Les was a 30 year volunteer with Fleming College, five of them on the board of governors, and two of them as chairman of that board. Following his retirement from Outboard Marine Les served the City of Peterborough as the Planning and Economic Development Director from 1987-92. Friends will be received at the COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street, from 5:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday May 19, 2011. Funeral service to be held at ST. JOHN’S ANGLICAN CHURCH, 99 Brock Street, Peterborough on Friday May 20th, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. The Venerable Gordon Finney officiating. Interment Rosemount Memorial Gardens.
