Lois Louise Fettes West

WEST, Lois Louise (nee Fettes) – Passed away on March 7, 2014 at Peterborough Regional Health Centre in her 78th year. Pre-deceased by the love of her life, Alvin West, to whom she was married for 49 years (passed away in 2004). Cherished mother of Richard West (passed away in 2011) and his wife Valerie, Steven West (passed away in 2011) and his wife Diane, Michael West and his wife Christine, Sandra Seeney and her husband Grant. Proud grandmother of Victoria (Mike), Christopher (Michelle), Brandi, Sarah (Kelly), Mitchell, Jake and Baron. Great grandmother of Dylan and Isabelle. Dear sister of Ruth Boudoin and the late Edna Ferguson. She will be fondly remembered by her many friends. Lois was a long-time employee of Eaton’s and Nutri-System. Her real passion, though, was her family and her home was always a gathering place for dinners and ‘toast and tea’. Lois was an accomplished folk art painter and enjoyed teaching others to crochet. She also volunteered as a Brownie leader, Sunday school teacher and at her childrens’ schools. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 from 2:00 - 4:00 & 7: 00 - 9:00 p.m. at the COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. If so desired, donations in memory of Lois may be made to a charity of your choice.
