Born in Toronto, Ilene was one of three children born to Jim and Margaret. Her siblings were Howard and Betty. Wife to Jim who she met at the age of 6 and married for 72 years.
She was a very talented artist and crafts woman. She taught her children how to sew, knit and hook rugs amongst other things.
Ilene will be greatly missed. She was like an angel to others in her nursing career and a devoted mother to her four children. Grandmother to twelve, great grandmother to five.
Great friend to many across Canada and United States. Ilene's kind soul will live on through everyone she met.
In lieu of a memorial service, family will gather privately to celebrate her and her husband’s life together.
