

BRADNER: Mary Jean "Mer"
Peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on Monday, February 23, 2015. Mer, loving Mother of John Latour and his wife Dawn of Whitby, Paul Latour and his wife Barbara of Philadelphia, and Diane Greening and her husband Chris of Peterborough. Dearest Grandmother of Michael (Melissa), Bonnie (Matthias) Krug, Elyse (Nicholas) Veni, Jason, Lindsay (Taylor Poast), Michael, Gillan, and the late Carolyn. Adoring Great Grandmother of Max. Dear sister of Isabel Pochert and the late Marian Black. Born in Bracebridge, ON, Jean spent her early years helping her family run Breezy Pines Resort and Cabins, and Beaumaris Marina. Jean later moved to attend the University of Toronto where she studied home economics and played on the women's hockey team. After graduating, Jean moved to Montreal where she began her career as a dietitian at Royal Victoria Hospital and raised her family. In the early '80s, Jean moved to Peterborough with her husband Ernie Bradner (deceased). Jean became an active member of Christian Victory Church, regularly attending services and social events. Jean was always appreciated for her passion, open-mindedness, her stories and her love of sports. She will be greatly missed. Friends may call at ASHBURNHAM FUNERAL HOME, 840 Armour Road (north of Parkhill), from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, February 26th. Funeral service to be held at CHRISTIAN VICTORY CHURCH, 520 Brealey Drive (at Sir Sandford Fleming Drive) on Friday, at 1 p.m. Visitation on hour prior.
