It is with deep and sincere sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of our father, husband, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend at Hospice Peterborough on June 17, 2019 in his 88th year with his family at his side. Ross Melliven Bennett Moore husband of Mary (Lindsay) Moore for over 65 years. Predeceased by his parents, Edwin and Clemena Moore(nee-Andrews). Brother of the late Venson (Mary) Moore, the late Mae (Lorne) Parliament, late Ron Moore, (Carolyn), Marie (Les) Gray, Jean late (Rollie) Howran. Will always be loved, remembered and sadly missed by his children Dennis (Linda) Moore, Debbie (Doug) Hudson, Laura (Larry) Weatherilt, Charlene (Bob) Brown, Jeff (Jessie) Moore and Pixie (four legged friend). Cherished Grandfather of Nick (Colleen) Weatherilt, Amber (Rob) Videto, Kyle (Michelle) Moore, Justin (Atheana) Brown , Alicia (Pete) Hamstra, Devin (Laura) Brown, Cameron, Leah, Wyatt Moore, Shelley (Scott) Bordun and Shawny Cameron. Great grandfather of 11 adored great grandchildren who gave him much joy, Landyn, Kato, Kina, Violet, Amalya, Thea, Keira, Eric, Jerrica, Jorie and Madison. Retired employee of GE after over 30 yrs. Always supportive to family and friends when in need and willing to lend a hand where he could. He loved to always be busy, building or fixing things for himself or others. Born and raised in Dummer Township moving to Lindsay, Peterborough and then Bridgenorth where he resided for over 60 years. Thanks and gratitude to St. Elizabeth, Hospice Peterborough and Dr. Mallory for their caring and support throughout to keep him home until his final days. Dr. Mallory’s amazing, kind, caring and personal home visits were very comforting to family & Pixie. Thanks to the Hospice workers who were truly amazing and comforting and for years of support from his intergroup and neighbours. Donations to Hospice Peterborough would be greatfully appreciated.
