Michael was the loving husband to Carol Towns (Walker). Amazing father to Sarah Richardson (Scott) and Andrea Towns (Bill Crough). Grandfather to Casey and Brady Richardson, and Cameron and Jacob Crough. Brother to Teresa Harrington (Frank) and predeceased by his younger sister Darlene Heffernan and his older brother Eddie Towns.
Michael was also loved by so many wonderful nieces, nephews and cousins. He loved nature, animals especially his German Shepard’s, and all things to do with gardening and fishing. He was a hard worker for almost 40 years at GE and had many friends there.
His love and light will live on through his family and friends, and his beautiful gardens.
A Catholic Mass will be held at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, 300 Wilson St, Peterborough, ON K9J 1T2 on Saturday, June 13th, 2026 at 11:00 am, followed by a reception at Ashburnham Funeral Home, 840 Armour Rd., Peterborough, ON K9H 2A2.
