It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nancy Jane Bolam, born in Peterborough, Ontario on December 11, 1948, who passed away peacefully at Kingston General Hospital on August 31, 2026, at the age of 77.
Nancy was one of the many lights in our family—a light that shone with warmth, laughter, generosity and love. She had a wonderful ability to scatter joy like confetti, leaving a little bit of herself in the hearts of everyone she met. And, as those who knew her well would agree, what a hoot she was!
Nancy graduated from Toronto General Hospital School of Nursing in 1966 and went on to spend an extraordinary 38 years working in multiple areas at Toronto General Hospital.
Nancy was the beloved and only sister of her late brother, Craig Bolam, and leaves behind a family and circle of friends who will carry her memory forward.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law Donna Bolam; nephew Ben Bolam (Leigh Watson) and great-nephews Cai and Elliott; nephew Chris Bolam (Dawn, née Lillico) and great-niece and great-nephews Emma, Zach and Caleb.
A Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 1:00–4:00 p.m., at Northview Gardens, 994 County Road 19, Peterborough, Ontario with Tributes at 2:30 p.m.
In keeping with Nancy’s wishes, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada or LAWS Animal Shelter, Lakefield.
