Nancy Eileen Thake, retired registered nurse, died at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, August 13th, at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Don Thake, loving mother of Allison (Shane), Steven (Caroline), and Paul, and much-loved Grandma of Lauren and Quinn Bradley and Andrew and Owen Thake.
Nancy was predeceased by her sister, Janie Varey. She will be sadly missed by her sister and pal, Barb McCorkell; her brother, Roly Foster (Deb); and her sisters-in-law, Glady Thake (Wayne, deceased), Ardelle Thake (Dave, deceased) (Doug), and Marilyn Bisson (John, deceased).
She loved her nieces and nephews and will be dearly missed by them.
At Nancy’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
If so desired, a donation in Nancy’s memory would be appreciated by the family to the Cancer Care Clinic at PRHC, Hospice Peterborough, or a charity of your choice.
The family would like to thank the Cancer Care Clinic at PRHC, the Palliative Care Team, especially Dr. Emily Hughes, and the nurses and staff on D2, and Hope, Jennifer, Ally, and Tina of St. Elizabeth Health Care.
