It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Pat, following a long and courageous battle with heart disease. Pat often described herself as spunky, and she truly lived life on her own terms—embracing every moment with joy, humor, and determination. A true people person, Pat found her greatest happiness in sharing laughter and good times with those she loved. She was a warrior who fought bravely to remain with us as long as she could, always striving to stay positive and never missing a chance to share a joke with her caregivers.
Pat is lovingly remembered by her son, Richard; her mother, Sandra; her siblings, Debra, Rob, and Phil; and her nieces and nephew. She was predeceased by her beloved father, William, a short time ago. We take comfort in imagining them reunited, undoubtedly planning a bit of mischief together once more.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Pat’s caregivers—especially Brittany, whose kindness and dedication meant so much, and Keith and Clair, who moved in to support both Pat and Richard. We are also deeply grateful to the many doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals who cared for Pat over the years.
A celebration of Pat’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Kidney Foundation. www.kidney.ca
