Surrounded by his loving family, at Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre, on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, in his 73rd year. Beloved husband and best friend of Nancy Ellis (née Westlake). Loving father of Rob (Bridget), Jeff (Julie), and Julie (Darryl). Proud Grandpa/Papa of Paiten, Ryan, Anna, James and Cadence. Dear brother of Paul Ellis (Geene). Predeceased by his parents Norman and Joy Ellis. Predeceased by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Gerry and Dorothy Westlake, his brother-in law Roger Westlake (Theresa) and sister-in-law Carolyn Hamilton. Dear buddy of his dog Bailey. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Pete worked at GM prior to his retirement. He enjoyed car races and fishing. He loved watching his grandchildren playing hockey. He was a Blue Jays and Montreal Canadiens fan. Pete’s family are deeply grateful for the absolute kindness and care shown to Peter and the family.
A celebration of Peter’s Life will be held at Greenwood (Donwood) United Church, 737 Donwood Dr, on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Urn committal to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Douro and a reception will be held at the hall in Douro.
