

Peter was a native Torontonian. Professionally, he was a member of the Local 46 for sixty-three years. Many of those years were spent working for the Toronto Board of Education. He also taught apprentices for the union.
After his retirement, Peter and Lyn relocated to the Kawartha region. In his personal life, Peter was actively involved in Freemasonry, serving as a very worshipful Brother for many Lodges in Toronto and Peterborough, and as a 32° member of the Scottish Rite. Peter was an equally active member with Rameses Shrine. He was part of the Shrine Circus Cast, Security Unit, Hillbilly Clan and Kawartha Shrine Fireman's Unit. Peter was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He was a Toast Master and will be well remembered as a mentor in all aspects of his life.
Peter leaves behind Lyn, his wife and lifetime companion of sixty years. He is survived by his daughters Paige (Desmond) and Kristi (Michael). Papa to Braedon (Erica) and Aurora (Kevon), Rebecca and Amber. Super Papa to Phineas, Emryn-Rose and Zanya. Peter is also survived by his sister, Gail Holland and nephews Nicholas and Gregory Holland, as well as John, Paul and Daril Holmes.
Donations to Shrine Hospital or the Peterborough Humane Society.
A Celebration of Life is planned for the fall to coincide with the Masonic funeral.
