

BAKER, Phyllis (nee Smith) – Phyllis passed away at home in her 86th year, surrounded by the love of her family on Saturday, November 16, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Baker, who died in 1972. She later married Pat Eagan, who will treasure her memory. Phyllis was the beloved mother of Gillian Baker and her husband Peter Gould, and Geoffrey Baker and his partner Terri Black. Proud and cherished ‘Nana’ of Ashley, Courtney and her husband Nathan, Sara and her husband Aaron, Jennifer and her partner Steven. ‘Great Nanny’ to Avery, Jordan and Halie. ‘Favourite Aunt Phyllis’ to Keith and Sylv, and Kaz and Leigh. Well loved step-mother to David and Mary, Janet and Drew, and Karin. Dear step-grandmother to Patrick and Nicholas, Rhys and Gwendolyn. Faithful servant of Rosie the cat. Phyllis will be sadly missed by her many friends and extended family in Canada and the United Kingdom, especially the Eagan clan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2013 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Celebration of Phyllis’ life will be held at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough, on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service.
