As I sit here celebrating the end of my 60th year on this earth, I realize that, for the first time in more than four decades, that phone will not ring with you on the other end wishing me a Happy Birthday. Nor was I able eight days ago to call you and wish you a Happy Father's Day for the first time in my life. The man who had no strict religious beliefs, believing only that if you treat people with dignity and respect, they will do the same for you. The man who always taught that you can compete in this world with the utmost vigour, but you must always respect your opponent. The man who emphasized that nobody is going to hand you the good things in life, that you must work hard for them and earn your own way in this world. You were truly "The Man". I hope when we get together again to celebrate those lost years, we'll be sitting at a bar in Heaven, watching the hockey game going on down below, and we'll enjoy a cold beer together as we did for many good years. I will miss you so much.

We were neighbours for over 30 years and have many wonderful memories of those years on Merrian    Road and Deer Bay.  Mr. Corbin was a caring individual who you could always count on. Every time I try and be sad about what has happen I can't because even though you are gone grandpa all I can think about are all the good moments. You were one of my most favourite people in the world, it was a joy being around you and every time I think about you all I can do is smile because I know you're in a better place now. For 37 years I've been eating Barbados Scotch Bonnet Pepper Sauce thanks to Pierre. There were many great laughs stemming from far too many stories to tell here. There were campfires, and dinners shared, and stories of your youth growing up in Barbados that I'll always remember. Your excitement for so many things in life was inspirational and if ever there is a family that understands love and respect for one another, it's the family that you and Audrey created. No doubt you will be missed, remembered and loved by so many people whose lives you touched, and for a very, very long time. Cheers Pierre!
