Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre at 87 years of age. Dearly loved husband of Audrey (nee Lee) for over 60 years. He left us knowing that he was loved dearly by his children; Richard (Lyn), Barbara (Joe), Wendy (Darryl) and his brother Victor (Angela). He will be missed by grandchildren Elena (Mike), Glen, Marcus, Joey, Jemma plus Laura and Julie Lamb, and great-granddaughters Prior and Finley. Pierre was an accomplished youth athlete in Barbados having played in a men’s cricket league as a teenager. After moving to Canada in 1948, he continued his passion for cricket playing for Parkdale Cricket League until moving to Scarborough in 1954. His sense of community continued as he became a Sgt. in the Toronto Auxiliary Police Force, co-founder of Corvette Park Softball Association in 1960, Centennial Celebrations of 1967, executive member of Scarborough Softball Association and awarded National Recreation and Parks Association “Man Of The Year” in 1972. Pierre also was a founding member of the Scarborough-Indianapolis Peace Games. In keeping with Pierre’s wishes cremation has taken place. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm followed by a memorial service in the chapel at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough, 705-745-4683.
